Case study:
international music artists
Following our audit of the artist’s marketing strategy, we identified a significant gaps in how audience data was being captured and utilised.
Despite a consistently growing international fanbase, their data was fragmented across platforms, and reliant on pixels installed on numerous different platforms with different formats. This left their team feeling like there wasn’t a cohesive ‘one source of truth’ that could be relied on for making custom audiences. There was a lack of visibility into who their fans really were or how they interacted with their content, or marketed to them when promotional pushes required it.

Key Journey
Users were sent through third-party link-tree style landing pages and onto Shopify, fragmenting the journey and blocking meaningful data capture. As a result, ad platforms received incomplete signals, limiting optimisation and campaign learning. It also meant that audience data was often being populated on 3rd party platforms which was unreliable long-term.
As a result the lack of meaningful data trickled down to the ad-platforms receiving incomplete, in-accurate data. This leads to restricting ad performance as the campaigns cannot fully optimise, therefore halting or interrupting their learning.
Much of the data flow was blocked by third-party apps and disconnected tracking systems, leaving promotional efforts underinformed and underperforming.
strategic shift
Accurate data was not being captured, and ad-performance was effectively being cannibalized… We resolved this by implementing server-side analytics systems for each of the artists assets, ensuring data could flow securely and accurately between the multitude of sites, stores, and ad platforms, without reliance on third-party tracking. This data was all formatted in the same way, and all delivered to the same location, creating one simplified ‘buckeyt’ of clean and consented data.
This case study involves artists who had multiple ecommerce stores, and partners. This allowed us to first isolate and increase the analytical accuracy of what was actually happening on each one of the assets, whether a store, a custom link-tree on the artists domain, or partner site.
We also installed one ‘Main’ Analytics property, which had a holistic view of the whole digital ecosystem. This allowed audience creation on a larger level, but also allowed us to ‘drill down’, where necessary, for specific product marketing, partner-orientated ads, or record/podcast/book/touring focused promotional runs. This led specifically to a considerable rise in sponsorship dealing when this audience was easily accessible to the sponsors.
It enabled a level of granular control that proved very effective as each audience could be fit for purpose.
This case also required maintenance to update consent mechanisms to bring the data usage into a compliant set-up. This solved a drastic increase in event match quality for ads platforms.
How Our Analytics Framework Connects Every Digital Asset

How accurate data tracking improve crm?
Among the moving parts of our GTM server side installation – we audited and overhauled a CRM strategy which involved making careful segments of audience data in a large CRM system, so that this audience partitioning was consistent for workflows, SMS and email campaigns, and audience creation in ads platforms. This also allowed easy use of socially powered lead generation, which populated the correct segments for the correct usage, and lookalike generation for breaking into new markets.
management team and artist wins
With full control over their data ecosystem, the artist’s team could finally see their audience in high definition. Campaigns became more targeted, insights clearer, and decisions more confident.
The impact was immediate and measurable. With unified data streams, compliant tracking, and clearly defined audience segments, they were able to activate highly effective campaigns, unlock new revenue opportunities, and make confident, data-driven decisions across marketing, sales, and touring.
